Landscape Supervisor
Landscape Supervisors are responsible for managing all field operations. They coordinate the procurement and scheduled use of resources such as labor, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget, safety guidelines and quality standards. In addition, landscape supervisors guide and mentor field staff and assist them in carrying out their duties.
Job Responsibilities
Experience with managing, leading and motivating multiple crews
Ability to schedule projects while staying on budget
Over-see projects from start to completion
Procure job materials for field crew
Perform quality control site visits
Ability to effectively manage landscape equipment and machinery.
Field training and development for Foreman and Laborers
Ensure company policies and safety guidelines are strongly enforced
Administering “Tool Box Talk” safety meetings while ensuring all employees receive proper notice
Liaison to field employees providing and collecting employee documents including employment applications and ID’s and submitting to Human Resources
Manage and record employee hours into payroll software (ADP)
Communicates with accounting and purchasing departments to ensure materials and billing are assigned and sent.
Create, present, and close proposals to prospective clients.
Follow-up with clients on a regular basis to obtain additional work and confirm satisfaction of work performed.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience/knowledge in Landscape Construction/Maintenance Sales.
Exceptional client-service skills and strong communication skills
Must be knowledgeable with plant material, grades, elevation and drainage.
Ability to read/follow plans/drawings is required
Ability to work with Foreman and crews on layout and training
Strong communication skills
Available Monday -Friday (Possible Saturday)
Able to work 7:00am – 4:00pm (Hours may fluctuate due to weather)
Physical Requirements
Lifting, bending, squatting required
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
